Maintenance Manager

Job PurposeProvide leadership and direction to Maintenance department for the repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment in manufacturing operations. Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of the facility. Essential Functions Execute the plant's maintenance vision and mission to achieve zero breakdowns through base condition maintenance Ensure all manufacturing/facility systems are properly resourced and all resources are efficiently utilized Provide leadership in implementing/maintaining preventive and predictive maintenance programs Ensure appropriate inventory levels for standard replacement parts are maintained Ensure maintenance shop equipment and tools meet operational requirements Provide technical support and coaching for efficient troubleshooting/root cause problem solving activities and maintenance repair to maximize asset effectiveness; perform and coach root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring downtime/inefficient operational issues Develop department KPIs, baseline current state, and utilize data to improve department effectiveness (including safety, reliability, productivity, and quality) Maintain and track production maintenance downtime Interview, select, and train Maintenance team Direct Maintenance team in their roles and responsibilities to meet plant objectives Manage Maintenance department costs within budgetary guidelines; initiate cost saving measures Assist in the review of all maintenance engineering documents to comply with codes and regulatory requirements Manage the department such that current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs) are adhered to and a professional appearance is maintained Ensure all plant maintenance operations are conducted in a safe and controlled environment in compliance with OSHA rules Conduct regular maintenance inspections Schedule mandatory inspections and coordinate certifications and appropriate authorities Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products Perform other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies) Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial management, manufacturing, production operations management or equivalent field of study preferred 7-10 years of progressive and demonstrated maintenance engineering experience with at least 3-5 years of maintenance management experience; food industry experience Strong, demonstratable electrical and PLC knowledge Familiarity with Allen Bradley hardware and software Familiarity and understanding of NEC and NFPA 70E regulations and requirements Strong mechanical and planning aptitude Ability to understand and articulate the requirements necessary to maintain assets at base condition and importance to comply with conditions of use Proficient knowledge of food manufacturing, FDA/USDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and experience with CMMS Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to lead and support multiple projects Strong decision-making skills with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems Excellent skills in the areas of teamwork, motivation, relationship building, and coaching Strong written and verbal communication skills PI2dc3e4ede46c-25448-34149234 Recommended Skills Agriculture Allen Bradley Factory Automation Equipment Business Process Improvement Communication Computerized Maintenance Management Systems Decision Making Apply to this job.
