These are manufacturing facilities, the customer service representative will need to have manufacturing experience.

Summary:
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for exploring and understanding customer needs through customer visits, team projects, daily quote review, and other customer related activities.
In turn use that information to coordinate Operations to satisfy customer needs in a timely and cost effective manner.
Will require experience in Excel and blueprint reading, as well as ability to work through computer based systems.

Responsibilities:
Customer/Business Development Work under the direction of the Sales / Customer Service Manager to establish needs and requirements of customers in an effort to satisfy those needs and to be awarded /secure new work on plan and efficiently establish corrective actions and timelines as issues arise.
Work with Business Development to host and facilitate existing, new, or developing customer visits.
Work with Operations staff to make them aware of the visit.
Manage projects and project teams as assigned by the Sales / Customer Service Manager to ensure all customer needs are met on strategic process or operational improvements to support new business opportunities.
Quoting Review and coordinate applicable RFQ's to determine if they are a good fit.
Submit quotation requests to appropriate quoting body to assess parts to determine if they meet foundry and machining capabilities/parameters and whether to outsource.
With support from the Sales / Customer Service Manager, determine if the work meets the long-term strategy; coordinate as necessary.
With support from other staff when necessary review prints and specifications to ensure all requirements are quoted.
Ensure that quotes are sent to customers on a timely basis.
Follow-up on quotes sent to assigned customers to verify customer needs, the customer's readiness to order, and if other opportunities exist.
Order Planning and Processing Ensure that all customer orders are appropriately entered into the business system and forwarded to scheduling, engineering, or contract review as necessary.
Serve as a technical liaison between Lawton and customers and between Operations and Business Development by facilitating technical discussions on meeting customer needs and answering technical questions from production.
Identify potential areas of risk including quality, cost, and lead-time for new or developing customers.
Facilitate solutions to risk areas as necessary.
Work within the Contract Review process and directly with engineering and production staff as needed to identify processing steps, develop fixtures, specify tooling, and otherwise design the optimum production and quality / inspection processes for each part or part family; participate in the estimating process as needed.
Attend meetings when parts of assigned customers are discussed.
Assure all personnel understand when high priority or critical orders are being processed.
Manage, expedite, and resolve any issues which require customer involvement.
Participated in morning planning meeting for all assigned customers.
If customer requested dates are unattainable after all avenues have been discussed, inform customer directly.
Involve the Director of Operations or Customer Service Supervisor when necessary.
Order Fulfillment Set priorities daily for actively managing projects and tasks and hold teammates accountable.
Follow up with production in advance of due dates to ensure the timely progress to project milestones.
Utilize the following when applicable; timelines, task lists, issue PO requisitions, design tooling, and acquire estimates for project items as required.
Work with appropriate personnel to facilitate solutions to quality, delivery, and other issues related to customer orders or other critical orders with current business as assigned.
Provide customers with accurate order status reports each week per the Order Status Procedure.
Communicate customer needs to the Operations and Business Development Teams; monitor customer satisfaction and communicate this information as part of call reports and other communication to the organization.
Diligently follow-up on communications as required to support customer needs.
Provide meaningful updates that summarize weekly project updates and unstructured customer contacts.
Plan and participate in regular conference calls with customers or vendors to facilitate project progress or to report status until project is complete.
Provide activity reports after structured customer contact including conference calls and customer visits.
Submit call reports and follow up with customers and employees when action items exist.
Facilitate the involvement of staff to perform cost reviews.
General Business Practices Help to instill and maintain a focus on continuous improvement and productivity; identify, communicate, and implement process changes to improve organizational productivity / work flow, communication, quality, cost, health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Qualifications:
Education:
Manufacturing Engineer Certificate or Association Certificate; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Arts, Business or related field is a strong plus.
Experience:
Minimum of ten years experience in a Manufacturing environment; prior Pattern Shop, Foundry, and/or Machine Shop experience is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
Knowledge Strong knowledge of Pattern Shop, Foundry, and Machine Shop processes, constraints, and the time and production steps required to produce and ship on-time, quality parts.
Strong knowledge of customer requirements and metrics for on time delivery.
Growing knowledge of the Pattern Shop, Foundry, and Machine Shop, the various functions and activities of each area, and the strengths and capabilities of the hourly workforce.
Knowledge of how to use relevant information systems needed to perform the job.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
