com) is seeking an P/T Veterinary Assistant to join our AAHA accredited, general practice in Hanover, PA.

We are looking for team members who are willing to work hard while using critical thinking skills to help create an excellent workplace, and provide top notch care for our patients and clients.
The qualified candidate must have previous experience as a veterinary assistant.
The position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to work evenings, weekends and some holidays.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Appropriately restrain animals, dogs and cats Venipuncture and placing intravenous catheters Assist doctor with diagnostic procedures Patient care including treatments Admit and discharge patients Inducing and monitoring anesthesia for minor procedures and surgery Operating room preparation Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients Radiology Client education Cleaning, stocking and organization of the treatment area Cleaning, packing and sterilizing surgery instruments As a member of the VCA family, your passion for medicine and compassion for pets and people is matched with a commitment to your professional growth.
